Transformers: Prime - Season Two [Blu-ray]

ravage 24/7
Transformers Prime Season 2 continues the greatness! This season is full of twist and turns in the plots along with the same quality storylines that makes this a must have for all transformer fans. The human characters of Raf,Miko, and Jack are more involved to help in the fight against the decepticons. The season starts out with the Orion Pax series in which Jack shoulders more responsibility when a trip to Cybertron is the key to saving Optimus.Megatron finds himself at war with not only the Autobots, but treachary in the decepticon ranks involving Starscream and Airachnid.Arcee still is the best looking she has ever been with the continuing rivalry against her nemesis Airachnid. Then there is the race for the cybertronian relics that could shift the balance of power to the Autobot or Decepticon side.Season 2 is a thrill ride from start to finish that is a refreshing reminder of how great the Transformers series is.There is also new characters introduced as well with the Insecticons and...

Transformers Prime Season II
Transformers Prime picks up where season one left off with Optimus Prime now among the ranks of the Decepticons?!?!?! Through out this season the Autobots and Decepticons are battling over hidden Cybertronian Iacon Relics (some are the Cybertronian equivalent of WMD's)that could turn the tide of the war, Mech shakes things up quite a bit,and ultimately takes them to an EPIC showdown on Cybertron. This season is just as great as the first season with new characters, and new twists and turns. And also a bit less Miko thank god. Voice talent is second to none with Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime,Frank Welker as Megatron,Tony Todd (Transformers Revenge of the Fallen) as Dreadwing, John Dimaggio (bender from futurama) as Vogul and many many more. This is a show that is fun for the whole family. A spectacular ride for the kids and a very welcome nostalgia for the adults. This is a must see chapter in the Transformers Prime Universe. If you haven't seen season one you absolutely must own it...

The best Transformers series EVER
Growing up with the original Transformers back in 1985, I was sceptical of the Transformers Prime show.

Once I watched Season 1, I was hooked. Season 2 is even better and it brings back so many memories of my childhood growing up with the magical voices of Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime) and Frank Welker (Megatron).
My kids love the TP show as well, even though they haven't seen much of the original cartoon.

All in all, a great buy, and can't wait for Season 3!!!

Long live Transformers!!!

Autobots, Roll out!!!!

Glee: Very Glee Christmas

ReBUY
If you are a GLEE fan and own each season, why would you rebuy 1 episode already avaialble as part of a season? (If you don't own the seasons I could see the purchase.) But otherwise FOX is trying the "Disney Double Dip". Not very cool.

Glee: Very Glee Christmas
Now with Cory gone, how I wish Season II & III's Christmas will be compiled in this format. As you view it, both happy & sad memories of Cory & his gang flash past me! This video is now part of my prized collections of DVDs now.

was very happy with this series, I will add it to my Christmas collection. I watch it over and over

Hans My Hedghog

jim henson the storyteller, one 40 min. episode.
I remember this series and wanted to share this with my grandchildren. The quality and size of the picture was not what I expected. The picture wasn't equale to the standards of other movies from the time period. I also felt the charge for only one episode was high. I can't afford to pay to view each 40 min. episde to find. my favorites. It would be nice if there were previews of each episode.

Luck: The Complete First Season

HBO's Horse Racing Drama Stalls Prematurely Due To Real Life Tragedy
HBO's prestige piece "Luck" was easily one of the year's most anticipated dramas. Its creator David Milch had been responsible for some groundbreaking shows including "NYPD Blue" and "Deadwood." Film legend Michael Mann (director of Heat among many other great pictures) was also a driving force behind the scenes. And with Dustin Hoffman (not to mention Nick Nolte) stepping into television to take a leading role, expectations were through the roof with this pedigree of talent. The real life story of "Luck," however, made more of a noise than the actual program. Though the show opened to generally favorable, but cautious, press--the viewership numbers didn't exactly ignite a ratings maelstrom. Juggling dozens of peripheral characters, "Luck" was best appreciated by an adult audience with patience and fortitude. Its methodical pacing was a challenge to some and as various plot threads wound around each other, the early episodes seemed to lack a dramatic imperative. HBO backed...

LUCK! CUT TOO SHORT FOR A REALLY GREAT SHOW
LUCK was a really great HBO show headed up and produced by Dustin Hoffman, with Dustin heading up a stellar cast including Dennis Farina. Although the cover proclaims this as the complete first season, it is in fact the complete series, because the series was cut short due to the tragic loss of 3 Horses during the filming of the 1st season. The animal rights folks went after HBO with a vengence, forcing them to shut down further production of the series,(something that to my knowledge has never happened to HBO before). There was nothing wrong with the story line and had the problem with horses not occured, they were well on their way to a 2nd season and possibly beyond that. Needless to say, although this is only one season, it is well worth buying and owning. Although it did not go beyond that, the way they ended the first season gives you at least a little closer and I think HBO owes that to Dustin Hoffman who went out of his way to make sure it closed out as best he could. 2012 San Francisco Giants: The Official World Series Film [Blu-ray]

Brings back a magical season of wonderful memories
I've been waiting for this since the end of the World Series. The package includes the World Series highlights film plus a number of regular season and post season extras -- including the complete NLCS game 7.

This a great opportunity to remember those nail-biting, record-setting and inspirational NLDS, NLCS & World Series games -- the Giants threw 4 shutouts, won 6 elimination games and ultimately took their last 7 in a row on the way to a 4 game World Series sweep of the Tigers.

The Giants post season had it all: timely hitting, great pitching, awesome defense -- and yes -- good breaks. Reliving the redemption of Barry Zito was moving -- he's gone through such tough times since signing with the Giants. Re-watching Ryan Vogelsong's post season dreams come true was wonderful. Remembering Tim Lincecum's brilliant post season relief appearances was fantastic. Marco Scutaro reaching out and enjoying the rain right before he catches the ball for the final out of...

OUTSTANDING
If a person doesnt care for a certain sports team, then writing a nasty review is just childish. One should realize that a World Series highlight video is for two kinds of people; the first obviously would be fans of the team that triumphed; the second viewer would be someone who appreciates the historical context and wants that for their archives.

The previous silly review should be ignored.

The game in the rain
The film itself is okay with a quick synopsis of the regular season and the bigger moments during the playoffs. Bought this mostly for NLCS Game 7 because it has the commentary from Kruk & Kuip and John Miller. It also has the STL track as well if you are interested.

Handel: Agrippina (DVD)

Attractive and Well Sung
Agrippina is one of Handel's earliest operas, composed during his stay in Italy. It is a comedy with two intersecting plots: the title character's machinations to persuade her husband, aging Roman Emperor Claudius, to designate her son, Nero, as successor; and the competition of Claudius, Nero, and General Otho (Ottone) for the affection of Poppea. Agrippina has become somewhat popular of late because of its good tunes and accessible story.

Some productions ham up the action, but this one captures the humor without taking things to excess. The costumes are generally attractive: somewhat Elizabethan in the first act, although Poppea wears a purple low-cut top with matching pants. Scenery ranges from minimal to nonexistent, but is not missed. The lighting is very effective. The English subtitles are colloquial, and there are separate chapters for most arias.

With the exception of countertenor David Cordier as Ottone, the singers are not widely known, but they...

Yoga Journal: Your Daily Yoga Two-Disc Set

repeat
alot of the same things done in another dvd - great short workouts but to many repeats if you already have other dvds from yoga journal

Finally a yoga DVD that really is for beginners
So, let me say first that the film sets are boring (completely white) and the folks doing the yoga are just okay. But I didn't buy this DVD to be entertained, I bought it to be instructed as a beginner in yoga... and it accomplishes that task better than any other DVD I own. There are several short (20 minutes) routines that I can do with effort and there are more to be worked up to. I think I'll be using this one for awhile... then I'll move on to the more challenging "beginner" DVDs I own that are collecting dust.

Just Love this set
Perfect. I pick my mood and my workout based on how I feel that day. Sometimes I just don't feel up to pushing myself but still want to do something so I don't feel bad for blowing off a workout. I can see this is going to be my Yoga Bible for a long time based on the available workout options. Very well done. Think you will like it if you are like me.

Tower of Power- 40th Anniversary [Blu-ray]

Over 2 years in the making!
This DVD has been over 2 years in the making as the concert was held at San Francisco's Fillmore on October 18th, 2008. There have been countless delays and I'm sure the making of the DVD could, in itself, be a documentary. I was there that night in the front row and I can tell you this was an amazing live show. Everyone truly came to play that night, and play hard they did, The concert is packed with ToP alumni (Chester Thompson, Richard Elliott, Greg Adams, and Ellis Hall just to name a few, Lenny Williams was invited but did not go) and special guests, notably Soul Man Sam Moore (even the "ghost" of Bill Graham was there to introduce the band). There were tons of outstanding musicians playing lots of great solos.

THE PERFORMANCES ARE OUTSTANDING!!!! These songs have never sounded better. The sound quality is superb. Video quality is high. Camera work is about a B- but at least it doesn't suffer from 2-second edits common in concert videos.

BUT (big but).... I...

Buyer beware!!
I excitedly pre ordered both the cd and dvd of this concert not realising the cd actually contains a dvd as well. This dvd is exactly the same as the dvd that comes with the cd. Save your money folks and buy the cd which comes with the dvd. It's even cheaper this way! Saying that, brillian concert. Great sounds and so so so much better than previous Tower dvd's that have been released.

40th Anniversary (CD & DVD) The best value!!
Tower of Power - 40th AnniversaryNot good value!!

Where's Johnny?
Just received and zipped through all the chapters but what I thought I was purchasing based upon the link from Blu-ray.com and some of the reviews here, Johnny Meastro and The Brooklyn Bridge is not part of this recording. Appears to be a "filmed" Tower of Power stage performance instead. Once again on Blu-ray, no lossless audio option as the choices are standard 2 channel or Dolby 5.1. Quick note for those thinking about ordering this title so you wouldn't make the same mistake I think I did. Quick 2-star rating (less than an average production when compared to the many other Blu-ray concert/music titles I also own) is appropriate for the as presented video quality and lack of expected lossless audio options on this disk. Lastly, cardboard cover over clear plastic disk tray instead of the more typical blue closed eco case.

Yoga Body: Hip Opening Flow with Stacy McCarthy

Stacy McCarthy's Yoga Body: Hip Opening Flow
I use this DVD to help me with my tight hips and hamstrings. When I don't have time to run to the gym or bored with my normal routine, I can pop Stacy's DVD and work on opening up this area. It's challenging but each time I practice, I get a little more flexible, and a little more open. Even it's only a micro inch, I feel better. Stacy has a nice way of breaking it down moving your through each posture and also gives your alternative poses if you're not quite there.

Love this DVD!
Great DVD! I really like this practice. As a former pro athlete, I appreciate a yoga teacher who knows what it means dealing with muscle tightness. As much as I find' hip openers challenging, incorporating them into an overall soothing yoga flow practice, they do wonders for my body... releasing the tension throughout. I like that I can do this practice any time I want from the comfort of my home. Thanks Stacy!

True to its title
This is an excellent DVD to help open up the hips. Stacy is an excellent instructor and she is easy to follow. The poses really do help to open up the hips, and Stacy uses options to ensure that the back does not get strained. Definitely worth purchasing and enjoyable to follow.

The Big Picture

My inner child LOVES this complete series
I think no other cartoon series ever has so perceptively captured the delights and disasters of childhood. And the cartoon art is fascinating in its creativity in solving all the problems of communicating through simple drawings. Who else has ever communicated such a range of emotions and characteristics through a little blue lozenge with the only features being arms, eyes, and mouth. The stories include so many of the common childhood experiences we all share: what to do when rain keeps us indoors, insecurity and self-doubt, how to deal with sometimes impossibly annoying friends, the joy of trips to parks and playgrounds, the child-rejecting neighbor, best friends, school victories and embarrassments, the nasty big brother. The stories are told with humor that appeals to both children (rated for 7 and up) and adults. Every once in a while a hilarious insider cartooning joke surprises the viewer, such as when imaginary friend Bloo suddenly loses height, saying "I'm begging you --...

WWE: Hell in a Cell 2012

Very awesome DVD.
It would be awesome to recommend this to everybody and it was very great from the beginning all the way to the very ending and it was the bomb. Thank you very much, Sincerely yours, Nolan W Quijano.

EXCELLENT! I REALLY ENJOYED IT
IM A BIG WRESTLING FAN,BUT WITH THE COST OF THE WWE PAYPERVIEWS ,I DECIDED NOT TO PURCHASE THEM BUT TO INSTEAD WAIT FOR THE DVDS TO COMEOUT AND PURCHASE THEM INSTEAD .AND I REALLY ENJOYED THEM

DON'T "Feed Me More" Of This!
A couple of notes here that WWE showed their support for the fight against breast cancer here by having the middle rope pink. Also with Jerry Lawler still recovering from his heart attack, J.B.L. & Jim Ross did commentary alongside Michael Cole & those who are college football fans would get a laugh out of the references between Ross & Bradshaw throughout the matches.

Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio - Orton took the fight to Del Rio right off the bat as within the first minute, he was bouncing his head off the announce table & throwing him into the ringpost before Rel Rio was able to use his momentum against him to gain an advantage. Del Rio heavily focused on Orton's arm & was relentless in pulling on it with various armbars including one where he hung himself off the ropes while also countering Orton's attempt at a powerslam into the cross armbreaker. It was when Del Rio got over confident & mock Orton that he was able to regain control as they traded momentum...

The Grand Finale

BEST SHOW
I love this show. I gave it 5 stars because it never disappoints. Each episode is consistent in format but always surprising in content. I would recommend to any open-minded person looking for a great reality tv show to inspire and entertain them.

This isn't the LOGO version
Drag Race is always fun to watch. But be warned, it's profanity laced. There's no censoring like on the LOGO versions. It's full on Drag Race. The queens are so emotional. I cried a couple of times watching the series. And boy did I laugh a lot. Guest judges include Mary Wilson and Cheri Oteri. Kelly Osbourne stops by for a challenge too. It's all so much fun!

Eleganza Extravaganza
Some fierce queens. Rooting for Latrice Royale, Jujubee, and Manila Luzon. I wonder how Ru is going to decide amongst such polished incredible men/divas

Defensive Handgun Training Program Skills and Drills Volume 1

Packed with Serious Information
Very happy with DVD. The content is unbelievably valuable. This is what I was looking for as I am just starting Defensive Handgun Training. This is not an average training video. Mike Seeklander goes the extra mile and explains why certain techniques are better than others. I found myself rewinding the DVD almost all the time because there is so much great but subtle information I wanted to make sure I absorbed it before I went forward. If you carry a weapon, training is a must and this is the type of training you need. It teaches you how to train. Just bought it but this will change everything I do at the range. I highly recommend this training program. I believe there is at least two days of information packed into this 70 minute DVD.

Good drills - skip book
Easy to follow step by step details. I would skip the book and just buy Vol 1 & Vol 2 DVD'S

DVD-Explore Mount St. Helens

basic but understandable
Lacking the fancy geological jargon makes this dvd great for the novice. I would be a 5 star without much repetition

Informative and Biblical
In this second episode of Season 2, Noah Justice takes us to Mount St. Helens, the famous volcano in Washington that erupted for nine hours in 1980.

Using this modern day catastrophic event, creation scientists are able to provide evidence that many of the geologic features around the world could have been caused by the global flood rather than by millions of years of geologic and evolutionary processes. The eruption also provided us with a reminder that God's power is always and forever almighty.

You'll learn about how lava caves form after volcano eruptions, and how the lava tube at Mount St. Helens couldn't possibly have been formed over millions of years because it would have been eroded away in that time period. Noah also shows how landslide deposits help show how subsequent eruptions and mud flows formed layers of strata in a matter of hours and show that other geological layers around the Earth, including the sedimentary layers at the Grand Canyon, could...

Volcano!
What kid doesn't think a volcano is cool? My kids sure do! I was excited for them to learn more about Mt. St. Helens. It's important for them to begin learning real information about real places- not just generalized info on the Earth's phenomenons. And were they ever excited!

As Noah Justice took them on another journey to see God's miracles, they sat in awe. Apple just soaks in all the information. She loves science and I'm always amazed by all the facts she remembers from the Awesome Science episodes. I think the terrific visuals provided on the DVDs works well for both Speedy and Apple. The DVD format keeps them interested and helps them to understand the information.

Of course we love the study guides as well. They help us to review the information later to make sure the kids understood the information. It also helps that Noah Justice is just 14. They would much rather learn from another "kid" than from an adult. It keeps it "cool." These episodes are just...

Not a great show.

It just isn't good television but what do you expect from a show called "couples therapy" on vh1? I'd say it's on par with every other reality competition, love saga bullshit show that airs these days

DVD-Explore Yosemite and Zion National Parks with Noah Justice

Another great Awesome Science title!
My teen/tween boys (12, 14, 15) love the Awesome Science DVDs. My 8-year-old enjoys them too. The 6-year-old, however, wants nothing to do with it... well, except she enjoys watching the bloopers in the bonus features. So I'd say this is good for somewhere around ages 8 and up. Your mileage, of course, may vary.

I think what my boys like the best is the high-energy style that Noah brings to the series. He spits out a lot of information, and is always so upbeat. And he's a peer, so it is just more fun for them to watch. The publisher says that this is by teens, for teens... but I think this would appeal to tweens and adults.

My oldest sometimes wishes that the information given would include some specific examples, but he also praises the video where there is a fair amount of detail given on one topic -- like radiometric dating, in this one.

I think it inspires us to do some of our own research. In addition, hearing Noah present the topics drives...

Explore Yosemite & Zion National Parks
In Explore Yosemite and Zion National Parks , authored by Kyle Justice, Noah Justice takes the viewer on a 30 minute spectacular visit to two wonders of the world. This particular DVD goes into great detail and gives indepth explanations of Radioisotope Dating and The Great Ice Age.

" The amazing granite cliffs are a part of the Sierra Nevadas, a huge rock batholith thought to have been formed over millions of years. But new evidence helps researchers understand how the formation of these mountains took just weeks or months.

In addition, Yosemite Valley is thought to have been cut by the Merced River and multiple ice ages over long ages, yet this huge valley is actually evidence of erosion due to a catastrophe during and right after the Global Flood."

In addition, you'll also learn:
Who are the Rate Group and what their research and findings have accomplished
The significance of radiohalos
The trouble with secular science's explanation...

Fabulous explanation of the Flood with two marvelous National Parks.
Here's another interesting DVD from Awesome Science! Noah Justice has once again delivered a great explanation of biblical evidence in some of the geological wonders in our world. This time he is bringing us to Yosemite and Zion National Parks - both places that I would love to visit one of these days! Through this DVD we learned the history of Yosemite National Park and learned that it was one of the first scenic areas of land set aside for the enjoyment of the public. The view is breathtaking and it's a wonder how people don't see the hand of the creator when they visit that place.

Thought this DVD you will learn how the valley is evidence of erosion from a global Flood, how the one and only ice age happened and how long it lasted, and finally you will travel to Zion Canyon to discover its layers, arches and hanging valleys. We particularly liked the original example of Noah presenting a miniature version of how Zion Canyon have been formed. This presentation in...

Out There Must Be Something

Fantastic concert of one of the Premier Progressive Rock groups of today!!
Filmed in a small club in Mannheim, Germany, Subsignal (former members of Sieges Even and Dreamscape) show the world exactly why they are one of the most artistic, innovative and fresh Progressive Rock groups of today. From the classical inspired melodies and riffs of Markus Steffen to the majestic voice of Arno Menses, Subsignal is a rare musical prize in a sea of fools gold (IOW- mainstream bubblegum crap).

Fans of Subsignal and Progressive Music will appreciate the clean production, sound, setlist and that "small club live atmosphere" that captures the essense and heart of a Subsignal live show. Arno's voice is flawless, Markus' guitar sounds clean and the riffs rock while Ralf thunders his bass to perfection and David creates the perfect moods and background with his masterful skills at keyboard. Newcomer Danilo Batdorf (Dreamscape) fills in nicely for Roel van Helden (who left the band shortly before this show) and never misses a beat and his contributions on the...

Best of the Best!
Last night I had the GREAT PLEASURE to watch the new Subsignal DVD "Out There Must Be Something" thanks to a friend! I purchased a copy about a month ago and for some strange reason it would not work on my DVD player. According to Amazon.com it is supposed to play in the USA and Canada, but it did not work. Apparently I was not the only one who had a problem with it over in the States. Some had problems, others did not, mostly due to how old the player is (mine was purchased in 2007). Strange, it would play on players purchased since 2010, but not on players before that. My friend really helped me out by making a copy (only in this situation) that worked on one of his DVD players and mailed me a copy that would play on my player. Just let me say that it was VERY GREATLY APPRECIATED as Subsignal are a favorite band of mine and I decided to keep the original in case I update my player in the coming years. They have such brilliant songwriting skills and great musical talent. I love the...

Great Cars: Porsche

Pretty good, but could use some more detail on the 911
I recently bought this video and enjoyed the history of the line. There are a couple of minor errors in the video, but a good overview of Porsche. I would have liked to seen more on the 911. If you're looking for 911 history, go with the History Channel DVD that Amazon sells. The bonus features are all quite good vintage footage of Porsche racing, including Le Mans and The African Safari Rally.

Excellent Historic Racing Bonus Footage
Good brief overview of Porsche history from 1930's - 90's. Better than other Porsche DVD's I've purchased. Glosses over the important integrated development of the 986 and 996, key to modern Porsche's economic survival.

The real value of this DVD is the "Extras" section, including shop scenes of 917 construction and LeMans shop car prep. Many racing clips from Nurburgring and leMans in early and mid '70's. Many famous faces. Period Safari Rally coverage also excellent. Run time for the bonus features is about as long as the main feature and is perhaps the best part of the package.

Very good! Rare footage...
I purchased this as a gift for a Porsche lover who has everything- and I will say this was amazing. We both enjoy watching it again and again!!

10 Pounds Down with Jessica Smith

Suzanne
I have been doing Jessica's other videos for almost a year now and the new Better Body Blast is an excellent addition.
If you do the 20 minute segments individually or all as one you will be getting a killer work out.
The arms segment has some new (non-boring) moves, especially for the triceps, there is also some cardio mixed in to get your heart rate up.
The legs segment, well... is very leg heavy! :) The lunge combination and progressions are excellent. The cardio bumps you to the next level as well.
Finally the abs... she hits every side and then some. I definitely feel my abs have been worked the next day!

Each segment is perfect if you don't have a lot of time because you are getting concentrated moves for a specific body area, but heart pumping cardio and some total body toning. My only suggestion would be to do a little more stretching before and afterwards. I tend to be tight, so doing so helps me.

As always, Jessica is...

Get this workout!
I have been a Jessica Smith fan for a few years, I have five of her DVDs that I work out to regularly. If you are a fan of hers or just a first timer looking to check out a fantastic video instructor, I highly recommend this newest workout video! I like how the Body Blast is broken up into three 20-minutes sections. If fools you into thinking you're doing a shorter workout than you are, because before you know it, 60 minutes have gone by and you feel great! I admit, the first exercise for the arms was like a comedy routine if anyone could see me...I could NOT get the arm and opposite leg to talk to each other...but of course, Jessica knew we would maybe be struggling and said don't worry about it, you'll get it. And she was right, after a couple of workouts I did get it and it is a great move! She's really good at knowing the flow and her subjects, even though it's only through the TV. Impressive. That's why she is good with beginners or seasoned exercise vets, she's easy to follow...

Hard on the knees
I love Jessica and her new walking DVD (especially the power walk which has intervals) is great and some of her free ones on youtube. I had high hopes for this DVD but there were too many squats and lunges. If you have knee issues, this one might not work for you. If not, it's a fast hour with different variations on old exercises.
I'm 54 and have achy knees from years of running, but can get through Jillian's 30 Day Shred (1&2 level) with modifications for knees but I couldn't here without really sacrificing a good part of the workout. I finished feeling I did half. The stomach exercises were different but in trying to balance with a couple of them, I again felt I was losing concentration on the muscle and did other advanced exercises while she did those.

Again, I love Jessica, but this one for my limitations with knees, wasn't a keeper.

The Best Of Tokyo Pig

Tokyo Pig hits DVD
Tokyo Pig tells the story of Spencer Weinberg-Takahama, a normal third grader. One day, his life is perfectly normal. He goes to school, does his homework, gets straight As, and lives with his unusual family. The next day, thanks to a magic diary, he receives his loyal and amazing pet, Sunny Pig. So, you're probably wondering if TP is a good show. Read on.

Tokyo Pig can be summed up in one word: underrated. The show itself is excellent, and the animation (which is colorful and weird enough for kids but stylish enough for parents to bear) feels straight out of Japan, the mystic land of anime and video games. The voice acting is good, and there are some familiar voices, such as Spencer himself. The voice actor is the same one who voiced Tai Kamiya in the first two seasons of "Digimon." Also familiar is Wally Wingert (Spencer's dad), who, unless I am mistaken, voiced a Tallest in "Invader Zim" and was a cast regular on the popular sketch show, "Kids in the Hall."...

It's Tokyo Pig!!!
Tokyo Pig was a cartoon on ABC Family a few years ago. This DVD features 8 episodes of the series (When Pigs Fly, Dad is the Worst Cook in the World, Luck of the Draw, Trouble in Lightning-land, A Bitter Fruit, Incredible Shrinking School, Samurai Lunch Lady, and pigs on Ice). The show is very weird. For example, Sunny Pig does a dance each episode for no particular reason. If you like the show or other bizarre shows, you will probably want to get this DVD.

Information correction...
The "Tokyo Pig hits DVD" review I wrote had a severe error in it. Wally Wingert did voice a Tallest in IZ, but was not on KitH. The other Tallest's voice actor was on KitH. Just correcting some information.

What to Expect When You're Expecting - Workout

Okay workout -- not as challenging as I'd hoped.
This DVD has 6 ten-minute workouts -- three "cardio", two "strength" and one relaxation. I've done the first five, and nothing felt particularly taxing. (I'm about 7 months pregnant and worked out regularly before becoming pregnant.) They're pretty informal, with lots of giggles from the women doing the routines, which could be either fun or annoying, depending on what you like in a workout video. I like that you can build a custom workout from the six segments, and the workouts themselves, if not overly challenging, at least feel pretty good. The extras are nice, too. If you were in good shape before getting pregnant, this might be a little too low-key for you, but it's fun, and I'm finding it a nice way to inject some variety into my workout routines.

Details about the segments (~10 minutes each):

Cardio:
(These feel to me like they're lead by Barbie, Skipper, and their friend -- but they're fun. None of them really gets me breathing hard at this point,...

Love it!
I just bought this dvd today and I'm not going to lie I was a bit questionable on it because I thought it was going to be super easy like the workout video I just bought the week before, but after doing some of the workouts today I must say I completely love this workout video. I like how there are different types of cardio and strength workouts so I wont have to do the same thing ever day. I also love how its actually makes me work up a sweat and it made for all trimesters with women from their 1st trimester in the video to about to pop and of course some of the workouts have water downed options for those who are farther along. I would recommend this to anyone it really is a great work out at a really great price.

Great Workout!
I have never written a review before but, I can not say enough great things about this DVD. I wish that I found it sooner as I'm in my 3rd trimester now! Pre-pregnancy, I was extremely active- going to the gym everyday, etc. This is the first pregnancy video I have found that give any decent workout. I love that I can customize it! You can workout 10-60min! I'm a bit sore the next day! I am finally feeling strong again, and not huge and out-of-shape! Really wish I had found this sooner!! It is easy to follow along, and very modern....Highly recommend!!!

Dragon Nuts

More stop motion, action figure insanity from Seth Green
The second season of Robot Chicken, created by geek-god Seth Green, continues the stop motion, action figure starring insanity that made the groundbreaking first season of the show so entertaining. If you enjoyed the first season of the show, you should know what to expect here: skits ranging from Star Wars to classic TV shows and cartoons, to politically charged moments, celebrity-aimed knocks, to just plain blink and you miss it insanity. However, there are some misses to this season, including a segment starring both Corey Haim and Corey Feldman as themselves, which is almost painful to watch. The good however, greatly outweighs the bad, as we see a crazed Ted Turner (not voiced by himself) masquerade around as Captain Planet, Barney the purple dinosaur looking for love, Castro playing "Dance, Dance, Revolution", a fantastic Highlander spoof starring the current day teen queens, and plenty, plenty more to boot. Also like the first season of the show, there is a horde of voice...

Fun show, great features, but let it be known....
The Archie sketch is deleted from the "Veggies for Sloth" episode. Yep, another sketch gone because of legal trouble, just like the Teen Titans sketch from season 1. Also, some of the episodes still have bleeps in them, and are not truly uncensored like the box says. Other than that, the dvd is good.

Robot Chicken Season Two
Great DVD set for Adult humor. These will be considered classics in the future. The DVD's are great quality and but wish that they could have a break from the opening sequences and just play the skits that way they can get more on a single DVD that way.

The Firm: Flat Abs Solution

Excellent Addition to the Firm Collection.
This is a great addition to any Firm workout DVD collection! All five workouts offer levels from beginner to intermediate and can be bumped up on your own to advanced. The 10 minute cardio blast and 20 minute cardio workout really get your heart pumping while toning up your midsection. The 3 10 minute toning sections really get at your abs from different angles so you can feel your entire midsection working. As always, Rebeckah does a wonderful job of instructing and gives you plenty of warning before the moves change. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a short ab workout that gives its job done. Personally I like to do any of these workouts as an addition to my regular cardio/strength routine. I also use heavier weights and do the advanced moves the entire workout to make it challenging.

Perfect!
This the best AB workout to add to any other workout you have. You can really feel the moves on your ABS. My stomach is more tones just after 5 workout with this dvd. I will highly recommend the workout.

She makes you sweat hard!!
I like it very much. I would say I love it but I cant keep up with the twenty minute session. Rebecca does a great job I love the way it is broken down into ten minute sessions. Maybe it is my age that is kicking my but.....48

President Hu Forbids It

Still wonderful
The fourth season of Robot Chicken finds Seth Green and co. changing things up a bit...okay, that's a flat-out lie, but be glad that it is because Robot Chicken is still as demented and hilarious as it always has been in its fourth season. Included in the chaos to be found here for this season are the revelation that Tila Tequila is really a cyborg, PaRappa the Rapper (anyone else remember him?) finds himself in court, a woman wanting her husband to role play being Jack Sparrow gets more than she bargained for, another Terminator comes back in time in a very different form, the spirits from Raiders of the Lost Ark try to get Indy to open his eyes, Jazz is still alive at the end of Transformers, Stephen King and Dean Koontz have a face off, and there's a fantastic Yellow Submarine spoof as well. There's also the usual skits involving G.I. Joe, Batman, Iron Man, and more besides; and there's so much perverse comedy to be found that it's just hard not to love Robot Chicken for all that...

Lottsa Laughs
This is the best stop motion show I have ever seen! I'm hooked! I will buy the older seasons soon!

Awesome
Damn funny sketches and special features. Only problem for me is that you have to play the episode commentary tracks one at a time.

Viniyoga Therapy for Anxiety and Depression 2-DVD Set

Both very useful!
The anxiety practices are nice to do before bed. The depression practices give you energy, might make you wakeful--best to do earlier in the day. The chanting practice for anxiety is interesting. The more physical practice for depression is the strongest. My guess is these would be useful to many people, whether or not depressed or anxious.

As other reviewers have noted, there is no music. But Gary's voice is soothing and helpful, particularly if you use the mp3 versions of these practices. The mp3s can be useful if you're traveling or have a need to listen to the practice using earbuds (maybe you don't want to disturb your roommate).

Excellent
He starts with an excellent detailed explanation about the causes of both anxiety and depression. I didn't realize that I had so many chronic symptoms of anxiety until I watched his lecture. I thought that my various symptoms were unrelated (IBD, chronic neck pain, hormonal imbalances etc). This understanding that my issues stemmed from anxiety helped me greatly as it led me to Psych K therapy (he does not suggest that, I found it on my own). I found the sessions deeply relaxing and they brought real energy shift to me. Really recommend these and suggest that you watch the lectures to start.

Viniyoga Therapy for Anxiety and Depression
I recommend this dvd to anyone who does yoga. It is easy to follow and focus on. It is excellent for anyone to do whether or not one suffers from anxiety or depression. Gary Kraftsow's voice is easy to listen to and he is very informative. I am very happy to have discovered all of his dvds. Thank you.

My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic: Season One

Support this release!
I have been waiting for a release of the full season for quite some time as I'm sure many others have. Definitely support this release,it is clearly targeted for Bronies being an exclusive like this and the alleged bonus content like audio commentary with the cast and crew. Supporting this will surely lead to more DVD releases, perhaps even Blu-ray!

This item is a must-buy for bronies.
It doesn't matter if you'd rather have Blu-ray. Good sales of this will lead to Blu-ray. It doesn't matter if you have access to Netflix streaming or iTunes or YouTube for the episodes. They don't have audio commentary. Find the money for this and support the official release!

Update (11/27/12): According to Seth's review of this DVD on Equestria Daily, the commentaries on this disc are amazing. I share his sentiment even now, and I can confirm my agreement with him after I receive the DVD.

Update (12/13/12): I received my DVD days ago, but I just wanted to confirm that this is a great 4-disc DVD set. The commentaries are especially interesting, although the only new voice credit information that we learned that wasn't already known was that Tabitha St. Germain voiced the stallion who screams in "The Best Night Ever" after Rainbow Dash knocks and catches him.

One of the best kids' shows available. (EDIT now that I have the DVD)
Putting aside the whole "brony" phenomenon, this show is still well worth the price, for a number of reasons:

- The characters: This is where the show really shines. The characters are all very well-rounded and surprisingly complex for a show aimed at this age group; it avoids lumping the characters into stereotypical roles. For example, in just about any other show, Rarity would be a stereotypical girly-girl, obsessed with boys, shopping, and hair. Here, she's certainly a fashionista, but she's also a competent businesswoman, something of an artist, and knows how to handle herself in dangerous situations. All the cast members have a similar level of development, which lends itself really well to the slice-of-life nature of the show.

- The character designs and animation are great. It's cute and endearing, but not to the tooth-rot degree of previous generations, and it's still good for the occasional action sequence. As a bonus it's very expressive and...

Rhyme & Reason

even for the white man
I had to watch a movie re: a culture other than your own for a class in graduate school a number of years ago. I chose to watch this movie during what was probably its only week in theatres. I was pleasantly surprised how informative it was and honestly went into the history of hip hop to explain how it affects gangs, east coast v. west coast, etc. This really is not just for blacks and those who think they are just going to watch a concert or hear a bunch of songs will be disappointed. From my point, I was pleased. I remember it this many years later.

Rhyme&Reason
Good movie on how some 90's rappers came up in the GAME. Wu-Tang,Jay-Z,Notorious B.I.G.,Tupac,Nas,Mater P,Mac 10,Ice Cube. ect.

Rhyme & Reason
Certainly can be used to educate the masses on the evolution of hip-hop. I'm saddened to see what it's become while corporations have killed the notion of reporting the issues we see in the streets and most/all people can relate to. Could have incorporated the role of women and not just used as eye-candy. When it comes to rappin about mothers, it's all good yet they can't say the same about other women on the streets. Such hypocrisy.

Element: Intro to Yoga

Two basic yoga practices, but not for those brand-new to yoga
This DVD offers two yoga practices just over a half-hour each by Tamal Dodge, a yoga instructor raised in Hawaii. As with all the DVDs the Element series, the routines are filmed outdoors in a beautiful poolside garden setting overlooking the ocean. Dodge is featured alone in both practices, instructing via voiceover. The only props used are a yoga mat and an optional yoga block.

The Main Menu offers the option to Play Yoga Fundamentals or Play Intermediate Yoga. I have described each practice in further detail below.

YOGA FUNDAMENTALS (34 minutes)
Dodge begins this practice seated on his heels (option of using a block) focusing on the breath; he instructs victorious (ujjayi) breathing here. Moving to standing on the knees, Dodge performs a spinal twist. He then comes to all fours for modified chaturanga, flowing from this position to cobra pose three times. Next, Dodge comes into downward facing dog, practicing this posture with breath retention. At...

Best yoga DVD out there!!!
I have purchased the other two yoga DVDs from Tamal Dodge and I absolutely loved them, and this is no exception. Although I must say that this was a little more challenging. Which I loved it, because I was looking for a yoga DVD that could be a little more challenging. However I would assume that someone who is just starting yoga might be a little difficult for them. You hold certain poses that test you balance and it can can be a little difficult not to fall out of the pose. Tamal is great instructor and the ocean view in the DVD is absolutely stunning. I would recommend to everyone to buy his DVDs, you wont regret it.

Don't let the title fool you!
I used to do yoga frequently, but between life and kids it's been 4 or 5 years. I thought since it was titled as an intro, it would be relatively easy paced and he would explain what we were doing. I was very wrong. I now refer to this instructor as Mr. Gumby man on crack. You jump right into poses and movements without enough explanation to them. maybe if I had watched the video 5 or 6 times before attempting to follow along with it, I would be ok, but to just put it it and work out? Not so much. He is calming (when I'm not swearing at him) and he does seem to know what he's talking about, but this is definitely more for people with more advanced yoga knowledge.

Hotel Impossible: Collection 1

Some missing episodes :-(
I love Hotel Impossible; I think it's great - in fact, I use it in my hospitality courses because I think the show does a such a good job of covering a variety of aspects within the lodging industry (better than I can do by lecturing). I have to say, I was dissappointed that the entire season (1) wasn't included within this set. Hopefully the missing episodes will be released at some point - because they were all enjoyable.

Not Just for Hotels
In this entertaining series, Anthony Melchiorri is teaching all retail businesses how to take the perspective of their customers. He rapidly, and respectfully, trains indolent, clueless, owners, managers, and employees, in the art of retailing. It should be a required course in any business school across the country.

Great resource!
It's a great show to learn which are the most common mistakes hoteliers make and the solutions for them. It's also very entertaining. Great Buy!

The Donna Reed Show: Season 5

New Daughter+New Neighbors+New Contract=Golden Globe For Season 5!
With daughter Mary gone off to college, Donna Reed wanted this Season 5 to be the end of The Donna Reed Show. In the Spring of 1963, near the season's end, Donna decided that the work schedule was too long and felt Shelley Fabares' absence would be noticeably missed by audiences, and that the show would drop in the ratings. Luckily for us Donna Reed Show fans, ABC executives felt differently about the show and offered Donna the most lucrative contract that she couldn't turn down. Donna Reed accepted the contract which gave her less episodes per season, meaning a shorter work schedule, which is something she really wanted. Donna was also given a fantastic salary and more creative power over the show's episodes as well. The ABC executives were right in seeing The Donna Reed Show as still being very popular, even with Shelley Fabares' absence, as renewing Donna Reed's contract actually kept the ever-popular Donna Reed Show going on for another 3 seasons.

ABC executives...

The best it's EVER looked.
Season 4 of Donna Reed is the best it's ever looked. The picture quality is superb, crisp and clear and the sound is the same.MPI has done a splendid job of the restoration of the eps, if only they could work their magic on seasons 1-3. TRIVIA!!! If you look carefully you will notice that Donnas' house is about 4-5 houses away from the JEANNIE house, and at the end of their street is the BEWITCHED house and Morning Glory Circle.

The Donna Reed Show all Seasons
I have been fortunate enough to have already seen and viewed Seasons 1 & 2. Our local library has gotten them for me and the other patrons. I feel that this sitcom was by far the very best when I was growing up in the 50's and 60's. I can hardly wait for you to notify me on the release of 4 & 5. The library has already ordered Season 3 for me.

Thank you so much for offering this to us. Being that most of the Seasons are B&W, doesn't matter to me at all. It brings back so many fond memories, and I love them all.

Please notify me immediately when 4 and 5 are to be released, as I may order a personal copy as well as ask our library to get one.

Television series just are not like those Donna Reed Series anymore. All we get now is violence, blood, and sex. It is so nice to really relive my childhood. I am sure that many other people in my age group feel the same way.

Thank you,

Gail

Hell's Kitchen Seasons 1-8 Box Set

If you love Hells Kitchen you MUST have this set!
THIS SET ROCKS!
Hells Kitchen fans who havent yet bought any dvds would find this the BEST deal going right now.
Not only does it have ALL the available uncut, uncensored, raw Hells Kitchen episodes, but they are packaged in one place... No need to look for the best used prices, the best new prices, the only sad thing about this set is that when you have played the last disc you are needing more! Get a prime account and get free shipping and make it a better deal!
My 20 y.o. Daughter and I spent serious quality time for weeks watching the set and kept mentioning what an amazing buy this was. Both as far as purchase price and enjoyment while viewing... If your against swearing or your thinking of watching this with your 8 y.o. Daughter you may want to hold off a decade... The language is uncensored and raw and is what makes this set a must have! No bleeps makes this a Gordonfest of putdowns, insults, and insane rants...
Why are you still reading this... Get busy and...

Hell yeah!!!
I could go on and on about Chef Ramsey. He's funny. I like his style. And I don't think he curses too much. Hell's Kitchen has been my favorite reality tv program which is saying a whole lot because I can't stand reality tv. This series, however, remains interesting show for show. It's all unedited too so you can hear all the yelling without the bleeping. I hope to see future installments.

Hell's Kitchen Seasons 1-8 Box Set
I love Gordon Ramsay's Scottish humor. Hard to believe these cooks come on his show unprepaired for what is in store for them.

Bridget Loves Bernie - Complete Series

More a Curious Time Capsule Than Anything Else
My copy of "Bridget Loves Bernie" arrived a few weeks ago and I've made my way through it. Having only read about it in TV reference books, BLB has the dubious distinction of being the highest-rated TV series ever to be cancelled (due to protest letters CBS received from religious groups). Viewing the series today, the outrage seems ridiculous as this show is one of the most innocent and innocuous series to hail from the Watergate era compared to "All in the Family" and "Maude". Created by Bernard Slade, who also brought us such controversial fare as "The Partridge Family" and "The Flying Nun" (that's sarcasm, folks) this series has the same innocent flavor filmed with three cameras and an over-enthusiastic laugh track that can grate on one's nerves during marathon viewing.

The stories are your standard Screen Gems scripts that mine comedy from the culture clash between Bernie's Jewish deli-owning family and Bridget's upscale Catholic parents. Actually, as Bridget's Mom and...

I love this DVD set!
This DVD set is great! The picture quality, color, and sound all appear as though the show is on the air today instead of back in 1972. Thank you Amazon!

Bridget Loves Bernie
This series played when I was a young boy. It was one of those probrams the whole family would gather around the television to watch. In review, I can understand why it was popular. Meredith Baxter and David Birney were beautiful together. You could almost see a spark between them, and rightfully so, since they also became real life husband and wife. Their characters displayed great respect and moral value. Meredith is the daughter of actress Whitney Blake who played Dorothy Baxter on Hazel, and David was a breath of fresh air to everyone who tuned in to watch the program. I am so greatful it has been released on dvd. I brings back a happy time in my life. I whole heartingly recommend Bridet Loves Birney to anyone who remembers the early 1970s.

Insight Yoga: Heaven and Earth 2-DVD Set

A variety of yoga practices and meditations with both yin and yang aspects
NOTE: I received free copies of each of these two DVDs to review for the web site Metapsychology Online Reviews.

The two DVDs in this set were each previously released individually; see also my reviews for Insight Yoga Heaven and Insight Yoga Earth. Both DVDs feature yoga instructor Sara Powers and her husband, Ty Powers, founders of the Insight Yoga Institute. The DVD inserts explain that Insight Yoga involves a balance between the lower body, which is the earthy or "Yin" region, and the upper body, the heavenly or "Yang" region.

In Insight Yoga Heaven, the focus is on the relationship between the earth-based energy, which represents stability, and balancing the opening of Yang energy in the upper body. The DVD offers the following practice options:
~Practice Overview (9 min; audio only)
~Strengthening the...

Love the various choices
I really enjoy these but am partial to her previous Insight yoga DVD. I prefer her to be speaking directly as she performs the poses than the presentation on this video. I also wish there was more support on the meditations as in her previous DVD. I really miss a longer shamata and more of her vast knowledge on different breathing styles to use. This presentation just does not make me feel part of her class as previous and that is what I enjoy. She has great information as always though and I hope she produces more soon for those of us with families and wish we could travel to see her but are constrained by time, finances, etc.

Denise Austin: Fit in a Flash

My new low impact, total body favorite!
I am surprised by the negative reviews, I actually liked Ms. Austin's new DVD. I have a few others (Boot Camp, Hot Body Yoga), so I am familiar with D.A's style. I think this one is probably my new favorite. Are some of the exercises similar to moves in her other DVDs, some yes, are some of the moves challenging, YES! I think Denise does a great job incorporating multiple muscle groups in each exercise. I really felt the core getting a workout through the ENTIRE DVD. My favorite segment was the lower body portion. I just loved the ballet-inspired moves. While the DVD features 7 separate workouts, I choose to do them all back to back. In the 58 minutes, I burned close to 600 calories, which I assume would have been higher had I been more familiar with the moves. The moves are not high impact at all, and if proper attention is paid to form, they don't cause any pain or discomfort. The calorie burn I got is similar to what I get when doing higher impact workouts within the...

Best workout DVD
Every exercise DVD I own is Denise Austin. This one is the best all around. I love it. There's two cardio workouts, two all over body toner workouts, lower body, upper body and abs and they are all great. You can do all of them or if you're short on time a few of them. There is no excuse not to exercise with this one. I think it's great for all fitness levels. I'm an avid exerciser and have been for years and I get a great workout from this DVD. I know lots of other reviewers will comment on Denise's bad cuing and being over perky, but I really prefer her over other instructors. I would highly recommend this. Love it!

Denises Austin workout dvd
This is wonderful! I just love it! I love the fact that it is only 7 minutes for each workout. I am so untoned and out of shape and I am going to use the cardio 7 minute workout for a week until I can do it easily and then add the Cardio 2 workout. It is fast moving yet not annoyingly so. She is cute and gives good instructions. I am glad I got this.

My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic: Adventures In The Crystal Empire

5 Great Episodes For A Very Fair Price
First off let me address that this dvd has 5 episodes, not 2 like another reviewer mentioned.

That being said, the episodes included are:

The Crystal Empire, Part 1
The Crystal Empire, Part 2
Sonic Rainboom
Luna Eclipsed
It's About Time

These are some of my favorite episodes so for me this a great little set, and the dvd is very fairly priced to boot. There isn't a whole lot else to say, if you like the show, buy this and support future releases!

EDIT: When I wrote this review, the price of the dvd was $6.99. Currently, the dvd has seemingly doubled in price. This might change your opinion on whether it is worth the money or not.

this is tons of fun!
do not miss your chance! this contains 2 new episodes from season 3! it is sure to be a great dvd! support the continued release of my little pony on dvd!

Bob the Builder: Teamwork Time

Go Teamwork!
My boys love Bob the Builder and this DVD couldn't have come at a better time for them. My boys are only 17 months apart and they fight like cats and dogs. This DVD features Bob and his friends working together to solve the problem and save the day! It was great for me to points point to my boys how friends help one another and brothers should too! There are five episodes on this DVD perfect for watching one episode at a time or having an hour long Bob marathon!

Great Lessons in Teamwork
By the title alone I knew that I would love this DVD! My kids already love Bob the Builder and I love that it is such a uplifting show with great messages for my kids. Hit Entertainment's shows are definitely of a higher caliber than others with regard to integrity and emphasis on the positive.

Bob and his friends are encouraging and supportive of each other when things don't always go as planned. Not everyone is equally good at things and as adults we know that's what makes us unique individuals. As kids, it can really hurt their feelings of self worth and confidence. Dizzy has some issues in their department and it really created some thought provoking questions from my son and gave me the opportunity to discuss this subject with him.

I think that the moral lessons might still be over my three year olds head a bit but I like filling her head with things that are positive, even if she doesn't quite know what they mean yet. So much of toddler's behavior is...

Jane Fonda Am/Pm Yoga for Beginners

EXCELLENT
Ms. Fonda is a very good teacher - wish she would tell me what to do all day about everything. Sound quality and production of video is perfect. I have never done yoga and this was simple to follow and I wanted to do the whole video. I look forward to it every morning.

No excuses accepted
With this new edition of Jane Fonda's AM-PM yoga there is no excuse for not getting out of your chair (or staying in it if you aren't able to get up--there is a yoga for that, too) and moving. Yoga is more than "jumping jacks", in fact not like that at all. It is a philosophy as well as a body movement and extremely beneficial to those willing to put in the time and dedication. This CD has a total of five sets--3 AM workouts for morning bringing overall tone, strength and energy, and two PM workouts for mobility and relaxation. If you have been telling yourself you mean to get into yoga one day, this is your CD. Don't delay, get it today. Highly recommended.

My Favorite Jane's Package!
The sound quality and picture quality is just perfect. Jane is super nice and encouraging as always. She makes me feel I'm in a fairyland. Well, the exercises might seems easy but they're not as easy as you think. They help you work every muscle in your body, you can divide them to 10 minutes exercises as Jane has done or do them all together. You'll definitely feel great after that and believe it or not, I've started to look better already. Thank you Jane!

I've been plant-based for several years and know nearly all the doctors in this film on a personal level -- either we've worked together, spoken at the same conference, etc. I've seen all of their lectures many times over.

The point isn't that I'm a biased groupie -- the point is that *I* learned a wealth of information from this DVD. You would think given my "experience" I had nothing left to learn -- but I did. This DVD answered every question I ever had or has been asked of me. What I also like is that the interview's are short. Nice bite-sized pieces of information. That keeps it from being overwhelming. I could give this DVD to my family, knowing they could watch it in pieces rather than overloading them with so much new information they can't swallow all of it.

I always recommend FOK and know I will recommend this DVD as well for anyone new to a plant-based diet (or seasoned folks like myself) or anyone who simply wants an answer to "what happened?" and...

invaluable second installment.....
Though I have watched FOK 4 times, I found this DVD invaluable in clarifying some of the main points. Some of the facts, by allowing more in depth time coverage, I felt were really brought home. And there was some new information as well. Though I understand the thought that some of this may have been added to the first DVD FOK, I feel differently. For one, I am not sure what would have been able to be cut. I think all the information and the personal stories add up to an extremely well done and complete picture. Second, and for me very important, is that there are many people in my life who have not implemented the ideas from the first installment, though they found the information compelling. I am very happy to have another means of conveying the information in a way that will reconfirm and remind them of the importance of staying with the ideas presented in the first DVD. Thank you for the follow up DVD.

Dawn
This video goes more into depth and Answers specific questions viewers might have after watching the first Forks over Knives. To get the most out of this video, I would recommend watching the first video, then this one. If you are looking for a miracle cure for chronic health issues, you've found it!!

Stargate Atlantis: Season 5 [Blu-ray]

Stargate Atlantis got better with age!
Stargate Atlantis entering it's 5th season was filled with a lot of suspense, action, drama, and even the good ol Stargte comedy like Rodney delivering Teyla's baby. The show had a solid first part with the brilliant special effects of "Daedalus Variations" and the heart-felt tear jerker "Ghost in the Machine" and "The Shrine". Our friendly or foe wraith Todd makes a great appearance in "The Queen" where Teyla goes through a transformations.

The mid-season 2 parter was epic with a special guest appearance by Michael Shanks to fufill his role as Daniel Jackson. If you are a SG-1 and SGA fan it was an epic episode with a shocking discovery.

As the 2nd half progresses we get epic eps like "The Prodgial" which features an epic scene with Sheppard, Michael, and Teyla fighting on the balcony outskirt of the city Atlantis. Another worthy nod was "Outsiders" which features another episode of the returned Carson Becektt and gives a classic SGA feel with the character...

Better and Better with age
Wonderful season 5 for Stargate: Atlantis! Some standout episodes have already been mentioned but the 2 part mini arc with Dr. Daniel Jackson as well as the entire cast was total entertainment and needs to be mentioned again. 'Vegas' was also something special.

I admit to still being ticked off that Stargate: Atlantis was cancelled. Yes a movie sounds great but I feel that the season suffered because of the axe hanging over their heads. This show did not deserve cancellation. The ratings were still solid and there were still plenty of places to go with these characters.

Why bother watching this new show if the plug could be pulled at any time? What is the point in investing the time when the bean counters could pull the plug on something good?

I've been a fan of Stargate: Atlantis since the first episode and I miss seeing these characters in new adventures. I'm still in mourning...

An interesting season, with a very good end
I just love how Stargate series usually end. They tie things up nicely, give you a really cool battle, and they don't kill off your favorite characters just to make a stupid point.

The season's arc was kind of disjointed and confusing. You will notice during this season that they are already cutting off the threads for some stories. Over all, the episodes show a little bit of character growth, especially in Woolsey, Rodney, and Sheppard. There is no big bad until the last two episodes. The big bads they do have this season are resolved quickly (for the most part).

I like the episodes with Daniel Jackson. Pairing him off with Rodney was an excellent choice.

I might want to add that the information above is inaccurate. Torri Higgison wasn't in the last two seasons as a regular. She was barely in Season 4, and wasn't at all in Season 5. They missed Robert Picardo who took over Amanda Tapping's role after she took over Torri's role.

BEEN WAITING FOR IT!
i HAVE ENJOYED OSIBISA SINCE 1970 AND HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A DVD OF THEM PERFORMING. THIS IS THE ONLY ONE I HAVE FOUND. IT SOUNDS GOOD AND THE VIDEO IS O.K. BUT I WAS HOPING FOR MORE OF THEIR EARLIER RECORDINGS. BUT AT LEAST THIS ONE EXISTS

Criss-cross rhythms
The only concert film That I have seen of Osibisa. It is worth it for that alone. I loved their first two albums and this concert is from their later more popular period after their commercial success of "Welcome Home." Makes no difference, the feel of their music is there. If you are a fan of Osibisa you need to see this.

Stargate Atlantis: Season 2 [Blu-ray]

About time the fans get Season 2!
Continuing straight forward from the cliffhanger at the end of Season 1, Stargate Atlantis continues to bring more elements from the Stargate universe and opens up new questions regarding the Wraith, the Genii, and the dark turn that Lt. Aiden Ford (played by Rainbow Sun Francks) has taken in this action-driven season. New elements are skillfully introduced with the addition of the Daedalus, a brand-new battlecruiser commanded by Col. Steven Caldwell (Mitch Pillegi). A runner named Ronon Dex (Jason Momoa) joins the cast of Atlantis along with former recurring cast member Paul McGillion as the loveable Scottsman Dr. Carson Beckett. As a strong fan of Stargate Atlantis, and Stargate SG-1, I can confidentally say that this series is well worth the time for any sci-fi fan or anyone with an interest in action programs.

Second Season Elevates Atlantis Past SG-1
The second season of Stargate Atlantis begins on an adrenaline high with the third and final part of Season One's "The Siege" and the action doesn't end with the season opener. One character departs the show as a regular to make room for model, turned bad-boy, Jason Momoa, who plays Ronon Dex, a Wraith Runner; while a new group of the Atlantis Expedition arrives from Earth aboard the newest ship in the fleet, the Daedelus. This season, helped by the amazing chemistry of the cast, shows its maturity early with story lines that can be enjoyed as separate episodes while giving die-hard fans a well thought out story arc involving the Wraith, Ancients and other interesting discoveries from the Pegasus Galaxy.

Overall Atlantis has not only met fan's expectations but has slowly exceeded its parent series, Stargate SG-1. If you're a fan of the Stargate Movie and haven't seen an episode of SG-1 I highly recommend buying the first nine seasons on DVD before jumping through the...

It's RARE To Have A Successful SpinOff Going STRONG!
Stargate Atlantis is one show you really hate to miss. With the arrival of Season 2 on DVD, well, now you can partake in the adventure whenever you want.

I have been waiting, too, for it to be available via DVD. For some reason, they were SLOW to get this series on DVD, even with the major success of Stargate SG1. It's still not in my local stores or Sam's Club. However, you can always rely on Amazon to have it.

The action and the stories are fun, unique and adventurous. The people who are annoying remain annoying. And the villains, VILLAINOUS. I love the characters...and tolerate the scientist that you would prefer to slap and tell to shut up! Ronan does that from time to time, as well as others.

Ronan was a successful new character introduction, and a good parallel to Teyla and Sheppard. I also like it that Weir gets stronger throughout the series.

As Stargate SG1 struggles to find it's footing with the principle cast taking a leave of...
